Our chauffeur (Lalith) was excellent. He was friendly, informative, polite, punctual and safe.
Were you displeased with any part of the tour or itinerary ?
No hot water at the Rafters Retreat. This should be highlighted prior to booking.
Do you consider us to be responsible tour operators ?
Difficult to say without knowing criteria. Was pleased that majority of places we stayed were all locally owned.
Any suggestions for improvement?
Be clearer about the amount of time spent driving.
Overall Holiday Experience ?
The people of Sri Lanka have always been friendly and not aggressive. The food was very tasty and the landscape, flora and fauna is stimulating. We have had a great holiday.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Adventure Lanka Tours and would recommend the company to our friends. The personal attention of Ruban and Rajiv has been appreciated.

Sarath is an excellent guide. He is unfailingly polite and always cheerful. He is obviously very proud of his country and keen that we as visitors should experience as much as possible. His driving is good and overall very safe - which is more than can be said for many of his countrymen ! He is very easy to talk to and we enjoyed sharing many interesting discussions with him.
Were you displeased with any part of the tour or itinerary?
2 or 3 days were very long. We understand that the tour involves a lot of traveling and there is so much to see. However the heat and state of roads does make is difficult. It would be better if a bit more relaxation could be included.
Do you consider us to be responsible tour operators ?
YES ! The tour promotes Sri Lanka. There are plenty of opportunities to see the REAL Sri Lanka - the best and worst.
The money we pay benefits the local economy.

Overall Holiday Experience ?
We had a wonderful holiday and we are glad that we made the decision to continue with our holiday despite the threat of violence. We did not see any real trouble. We felt very safe with our driver Sarath and were confident that he would not put us in any danger.
Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with a lot to offer visitors. There is a lot of poverty but our abiding memory will be the welcome of the Sri Lankan people and their beautiful smiles.

Bastian was always polite, on time and flexible to our needs. He always checked we were happy which we were. He drove carefully but he got to where we needed to go swiftly. He managed our expectations of the journey at all times and we always felt we arrived before we expected to!
Were you displeased with any part of the tour or itinerary ?
Lunches in some touristy places were somewhat arduous. We really enjoyed the more authentic experiences. When we told Basitan this he took us to places we really enjoyed.
Do you consider us to be responsible tour operators ?
Very ! We enjoyed meeting Rajiv and being told more about the company's philosophy over dinner - nice touch.
Any suggestions for improvement ?
Suggest internal flights for long journeys.
Overall Holiday Experience ?
The holiday was very well organized and planned for us. From the first few emails to the send off at the airport Rajiv kept in contact to ensure we were happy and we always felt comfortable, take care of and safe.
Bastian our chauffeur was a great guide and very pleasant to be with giving us our space at the right times.
Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with friendly, kind people.
Adventure Lanka Tours let us enjoy the Island to its maximum and we will take away some great memories.
After our initial concerns about the current unstable situation we were pleasantly surprised to feel completely at all times seeing no trouble at all.
We thoroughly enjoyed the mixed itinerary provided by Adventure Lanka Tours with Bastian our chauffeur giving us good insight into Sri Lankan Culture and Lifestyle.

Sri Lanka Grand Tour
We had a fabulous fortnight and saw all the best that Sri Lanka has to offer. The itinerary was carefully worked out and gave us the opportunity to experience all sorts of things both cultural and wildlife.
Adventure Lanka Tours had our best interests at heart and were always concerned that we should have a good time, with a mixture of fun and thought provoking experiences. We learnt a lot about the country through things we saw and did.
We are especially grateful that Sarath (Chauffeur), helped us find our mothers house in Colombo, to visit inside and also take us to the Christ Church and ask the people there to find our grandparents marriage certificate.

Sri Lanka Grand Tour
A very varied programme and thoroughly enjoyable holiday. This tour offers a comprehensive overview + introduction to all of Sri Lanka’s highlights – culture, wildlife, history, beautiful scenery and relaxation.

I seem to have misplaced the form you provided for comments on our recent wildlife tour, so I am writing to tell you how much we enjoyed it and how pleased we were with your service. The itinerary you planned for us provided one fascinating experience after another, and we feel that we managed to see quite a lot of your beautiful country in only a week and a half.
Sarath was a most excellent driver--courteous, capable, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We felt that we were saying goodbye to a true friend when he left us at the airport at the end of our trip.
We enjoyed all the hikes, whitewater rafting, and game drives, and we were very impressed with the competence of all the naturalists and guides. (The only activity that we would not recommend was a side trip we took, a boat cruise on the Green River.)
Our accommodations were certainly varied, from the most rustic (Rafter's Retreat), to Martin's Lodge (where the lack of charm of the buildings was more than made up for by the hospitality provided by Martin and his family), to the comfort and beauty of Yala Village.
We would be delighted to recommend Adventure Lanka Tours to any travelers who are interested in a trip to Sri Lanka. It would be a pleasure to introduce some of our American countrymen to your lovely country.

We came to Sri Lanka seeking an Adventure with our three children and the tour has exceeded our expectations.
